Got stranded late at night on I80 and the owner came to check me in super late at night with a fantastic attitude. Rooms are fairly old, but clean and come stocked with waters, granola bars, and coffee makers and microwaves. The next morning, another employee, I didnt get his name, took the time out of hks day to check my codes on my car so I had an idea of what was going on. Fantastic service and definitely helped brighten a super unfortunate situation. Highly recommend this roadside motel if you're passing through Wamsutter. Rates aren't bad either, especially for being the only lodging in town.
We arrived late in the evening and the owner upgraded us to a larger cottage at no extra cost. It was lovely and we enjoyed the attention to detail that made our stay as comfortable as possible. It is a very quiet property and the host has snacks and bottled water in the room.
Had to stay there cuz of a flat tire in a snowstorm. Lady at the desk was really nice to me. Room had no extra lock but it was very very clean and no one bothered me.
They were full but made a room up for me during a snow storm. The room was sweet, clean, comfortable and had everything a person would want, even microwave popcorn! I love the management, they were extra nice!. I've been to many motels between Oregon and Memphis but this one was the best!
Traveling back to ks from Lake Tahoe, just needed a clean quiet room. After Traveling 10 hours, was extremely surprised by not only a great host, clean room, but popcorn, 2 waters, clean smelling towels and beds were very comfortable. You can't go wrong, stop here support a family doing a great job.
The Sunset Inn in Wamsutter, Wyoming is the coziest place I've ever stayed away from home! It's super clean and the cabins are so comfy. It's quiet, all I heard were distant sounds of the interstate, no slamming doors or talking or stomping like you always get in hotels and motels. The price is reasonable and the staff are really nice. I've stayed several times and will actually try to plan a stop to stay here when I travel that direction!
I was absolutely surprised at how great the room was! You can tell it's very well taken care of! We came in late at night, the host was quick to show up and get us checked in. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place. Also pet friendly, but you wouldnt even know it!
I like this place. Old school charm about it. Using an actual key, having the wood floors, the earthy color scheme in the room. Its not too cramped either. The bed was comfy and the heater worked good. The hot water doesn't last long, but, I got a good 15min out of it. If I'm ever between Rock Springs and Rawlins again, I'll crash here.
